IMAGE DESCRIPTION: 

Some topics just ask for an original idea, especially buildings can be rendered
to unbelivably realistic  quality with a radiosity renderer, so you have to
find something else. This, as everybody can see, is inspired by the planet of
the apes, where some astronauts get lost and crash on some unknown planet
collonized by apes but later they find out that they are on earth but in a very
distant future,they just travelled through time somehow, and humans become
stupid and slaves, they cant talk, and everything is destroyed. The apes
evolved and can talk and so on...


DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 

this was made in 2 days. the statue was done by someone else. Most of this was
unnecessary and can just as well be done by normal editing.first i put the
statue in place, drop a cloth over it with clothreyes, and use it as the sand
around the statue scatter lots of stones all over. make a bigger terrain , sky,
clouds,fog,... with the evironment generator script, put a glow on the sun and
z-focus the statue for a distance blur.a dirtyreyes texture over everything to
look dirty.(sorry lost the maps when i cleaned up)
i find the widescreen size makes it more dramatic looking.
never had a single lesson,nor read a helpfile or book on max, found out
everything by myself, trial and error! started at 3dstudio 2.2
