I think that this picture could have been really disturbing by merely making the
large head scarier.  It looks kind of stunned to me.  I think the whole picture
would have been changed for the better if that face was less human looking or
more deformed.  Imagine the kind of face in the famous "scream" painting there
instead.

I rather like this, for somer odd reason.. the planets do look very
good.

Terrain in foreground is a bit simplistic, and the footprints don't look
quite right.
