Well, it is a good combination of models created by other people.

A beginner ? You're doing fine.
The planet does not look right, I mean the main planet's texture does not look
like it is some type of ground, it's probably the wanted effect but the effect
on me is negative.
Geometric patterns can be very nice but some disturbance of these alignements
can add a lot to the artistic touch of an image, like rotate the columns
differently, tilt them, a little imperfection here and there, cracks, ...
Otherwise looks pretty good.

Nice, very surrealistic. The background is intriguing; without downloading the
source code, it's hard to tell if it's an image map on a curved surface, a
glass
cylinder, or what.

From bobfranke@halcyon.com:
This is just a collection of Nathan's columns. Next time
try building something with them. Also when using a
bright lens flares, a light source should be located in the
same place. In this image the shadows should be
created by a light sources at the flares.

Good concept but read comments for your other image.

From gshaw@monotix.co.za:
It's very nice. Next time try making the objects yourself. It's half the fun
<grin> The
background is very pretty.

From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au:
Composition is okay... you just need to work on modelling your own objects and
putting them into a scene.

From jull43@ij.net:
OK, floating columns .
