More description! What does it mean? It looks like the tree-sword was
driven into the ground, causing the massive tree to spring into existance,
disturbingthe paving stones. But why? And what is the other sword doing there?
There is a story just begging to be told.

The bark texture is quite lovely. The paving stones look good, but a bit too
much like plastic (maybe they are plastic, I dunno).

The shortsword doesn't look like it is stuck too far into the tree root,
like it should have fallen over.

beautiful image: great textures, great mood, I love it!

From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com:
The tree is odd looking but pretty good at the same time. I like the surface
texture of it.
The 'tree' sword handle is brilliant.
The background is really nice and the pavement rather good as well.
A pity the big tree is not built further b'cause the shadow looks funny.

I like the background effect and the uneven stones pushed up by the tree roots.

From jaime@ctav.es:
Very good work on textures, and modelling too.

From ethelm@bigfoot.com:
Good concept.

From arcana@sinbad.net:
great wood texture. I would have liked to have seen more in the background
than just a wall. Something to helpfill in the scene a bit better.

From gshaw@monotix.co.za:
The swords are lovely, texture on the tree also looks very nice. Stone wall
seems a little too
reflective, but that's just my opinion. Flagstones look very realistic,
mainly because they
are a little disorganised.

From clem@dhol.com:
Beautiful and enigmatic image. I really like the texturing
on the tree. I like the texturing and positioning of the
flagstones as well. The metal of the blades could use a
little tweaking, and I think that the image would be
improved by a bit of ivy climbing the rock wall in the
background, perhaps a little waterfall and a rivulet in the
background (to suggest the "Lady of the Lake") and a
solitary leaf bud on the branches growing from the sword
handle to echo the ivy.

From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au:
Nice image, very well modelled. The tree looks great, and the irregular
flagstones
too. The background wall texture looks a bit large for the scale implied by the
swords.

From jull43@ij.net:
It lacks something and some scale is odd.
