Where is Martin Sheen ?

The ships, while well modelled, seem placed haphazardly. In such close
proximity to each other, I would expect them to be more-or-less in formation.
Stars seem rather dense, like white speckles. Interesting point of view and
alien writing.

I like the starfield and I like the Earth, but since when do aliens read
Greek?

From djconnel@flash.net:
Interesting idea... however, consider that if the clouds
are at 10km altitude, that is still
only slightly more than 0.001 Earth radius. The result is
the offset between the water
and the clouds should be less than 1 pixel on this image.
However, you seem to have
it at more like 20 pixels.

Also, the cloud pattern needs a little more work.

It is an effective planet. I really do like the image. The
green display
is a nice touch, for example. However, the planet isn't
really Earth.

Does aliens really use greek alphabet ? If so,
it could make contacts easier...

Cool alien display.

From clem@dhol.com:
I'd like to know what the alien HUD says, but its Greek
to me ! :) The idea of this image is ok, but the execution
has some problems. The Earth is pretty, but the
atmosphere (and clouds) are far too thick for the size of
the planet. The HUD is a good idea, but it shouldn't
have a visible box edge. The layout is good. The
starfield doesn't work at all. It looks more like ugly
Formica. A full black for the space would help, too.

From r@haka.saunalahti.fi:
The saucers are nice and do establish some scale, but not enough as I have no
way of knowing how big they really are. It might look better if the other ships
were further away and if there were more of them, the most distant ones barely
visible. The planet looks good, but the stars aren't very realistic.
