The sky, mountains and ship are very good. The space
ship looks kind of organic, very much like some the
Babylon 5 stuff. Too bad the cabin was a last minute
thought. It really helps the scene, but needs more
detail. It looks a bit blocky and simple. Very nice.

do you know the fitfh element ? the first time I saw this picture, it was the
first name in my mind

Great job on the ship~!

Very nice mountain range.

From kosh@nesys.com:
The ship and mountains are great.
The cabin is not up to the same high standards.

Really excellent image. I love your cinemascope sky - it will become my sky
template!

From gmccarter@hotmail.com:
Interesting --- my first impression was that the craft was lifting off, not
coming down.
Good job on the terrain and sky. I think the building was a better choice than
a human figure. Suitably alien ship. The ground blast is disturbingly
bright.

Nice job on the ship! Julia fractals will earn you tech
points every time....
look what it did for the Night round winner -- CD 2 cover
:).

I really like this image. There are two weaknesses,
though. One is
the house. It looks like a toy. It needs just a bit more
detail....
benches, clutter, a reason for being. The other is the
grass texture.
It looks painted. It needs more "roughness" -- more
structure.

But the ship and the general scene is excellent!

From east103@dialaccess.com:
Cool ship. Mountains are nice. Could use more work to integrate the house
into the scene.

From ethelm@bigfoot.com:
You have a very alien spaceship there which is
excellent. The jet and smoke are well done. The sky and
hills are good. The cabin, though detailed, looks
somehow out of place. Nice overall.

Great job on the sky and mountains. Interesting use of fractals for the ship,
like it's texture.

From wozzeck@club-internet.fr:
I like the spacecraft and most of the scene. The house might have been
perfected.
The loneliness impression is strong.

=====
From clem@dhol.com:
Great use of a Julia. Convincingly alien, almost Giger-
like. The only problem is that the cabin looks rather
toylike compared to the rest of the scene. Not in size so
much as level of detail.

From jaime@ctav.es:
Very nice alienship, strange and interesting (It doesn't seems to be created by
humans). Very good work with the halos, too.
P.S.: Detail is never lost: even if not really visible, it makes the
difference.

From r@haka.saunalahti.fi:
The ship is refreshingly original, and makes good used of the possibilities
offered by raytracing. I was just getting fed up with the endless "organic"
ship designs when this one saved the day. Good work with the plasma, too, and
the color gradient makes the sky look astonishingly photorealistic for
something so simple. What's the white thing the cabin's standing on?
Notable for modelling

Now here's a NICE scene! I love the flame effect on the ground. Looks real.
According to me, the log cabin may be a bit TOO small. Or, perharps move the
cabin closer to the camera to show off your attention to detail :)
Notable for lighting, modelling, textures
