The comical aspect of this pic is too much.  I really hope your chickens
reappear in the future!  It's amazing that they are just blobs and beziers!  I
think the 'action' (the chicken with is brain being replaced) were closer to
the camera.  Your area light was worth the render time!

The chickens are a wonderful example of what

(issue 2) calls "Living Toons" -- a mixture of cartoons 
with just enough realism
to make them lifelike.  This scene looks like a take from 
a really good film.

The one room for improvement is the dirt "floor".... it's 
clearly a normal,
but sufficiently rough that a height field would have 
worked better.

But, overall, nicely done!!!

"alien encounter" thing.  Nice attention to details, dirty

things.  Be careful about the signature, make it smaller,

Are those tiny little spaceships?  This is probably the funniest image I've ever
seen in the IRTC.  What really makes it is the funny poses and expressions on
the chickens.  I'm glad you left the media in because that really is what makes
this image work.  Everything is really good except perhaps the textures on some
parts of the chickens and the ground.   Some crand in the finish might have
helped with the appearence of dirt.  This is one of my favorites this round.

LOL! The chickens are hilarious! The saturated light looks perfect - makes me
think of X-files. The area light shows banding, but it may actually be better
that way. The ground definitely needs more detail.
