From johnson@pharmacy.arizona.edu:
Greater copntrast between room lighting and desk lamp would have given better
noir-ish feel

=====
From caleb@chemeng.uct.ac.za:
This is a very good picture, but two things detract from the scene:
1. JPG compression blurriness (use less compression)
2. The ambient light in the room should have been less, to create a more
dramatic effect.

Nice phone, pen, hat, door glass.
Some objects don't seem old enough: venetian blind, pen, desk lamp.
Something seems wrong with the perspective at the door: the door size, handle
position, and human figure don't seem to be aligned correctly somehow.

From tina@tezcat.com:
I absolutely /love/ the details in this picture: the phone, the cigarette,
the hat... everything, really. One of my favorites.

From djconnel@flash.net:
It seems you went a bit overkill on the resolution, if the
goal was 800x600 -- you
would have been better off spending the same time with
antialiasing.

But I like the scene! The human seems to be standing
on a stool....
but that's okay. I like the variation in objects, materials,
and textures. Also,
the lighting creates a nice effect. The woman's cap is a
very nice touch!

The smallweakness is the only average topicality.... it
doesn't especially show a "first
encounter", although it does show something related to
one.

Nice image, but the textures are a little to clean for my tastes. Add some
dirt or rust.

From ethelm@bigfoot.com:
Very imaginative and detailed. The gun is very easy to
miss. The composition might have been arranged to put
more attention on the point of the story.

From blaineholmes@hotmail.com:
Very detailed work. Good modeling. I like your glass in the door. I had a
hard time seeing the gun. Nice textures.

From wozzeck@club-internet.fr:
Your rendering method (high resolution then resizing) seems to have ruined all
your efforts concerning texturing, and the strong
jpeg compression killed what remained :-(
I'm sure the 1900x1425 picture is very nice.
Good idea, modelling and lighting.

From jaime@ctav.es:
Original and nice idea. Very good composition. Nice modelling and also good
use of free stock objetcs. The time expend on texturing and lighting is really
worth.

From r@haka.saunalahti.fi:
An altogether great image, with lots of good details combined to create an
authentic feel to the scene. A bit of haze in the atmosphere would've completed
the effect. There seem to be something funny in the proportion of the person
outside, but I can't quite say what.
Notable for modelling
