I really like the blue spiral effect.

From jerry@hoboes.com:
The swirl looks more like a snake than a swirl of water (but looks good for
that, nonetheless). Your horizon is noticeably flat--I think not just because
it *is* flat but because the sky doesn't change with distance. But good use of
fog. Nice lightshow around the wizard, also.

From Sean_Hamilton@amrcorp.com:
I like the aura effects around the wizard and the grey figures below. There
needs
to be a better transition from grey to black and the spiral needs a better
texture.

From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de:
The water is in no way recognizable as such. The dull gray plane (which
allegedly has a bumpmap (sawtooth appears utterly inappropriate for water),
that cannot be seen) looks just grey.
The "water spiral" cannot be made of water, water both refracts and reflects
light, POV, as a raytracer can easily and quite convincingly simulate this,
please read the manual to find out how (Hint: IOR).
The plural of torus cannot be torii, that would be the plural of "torius". It
should be tori, in English "toruses" is probably acceptable.

From johnson@pharmacy.arizona.edu:
Cannot tell this has anything to do with water without reading the text.

From arcana@sinbad.net:
Intriguing concept. I think there's still room for improvement though. The
water spiral being the main thing. Did you think about using a blob
structure in a spiral loop, rather than a CSG of torii? It would have
afforded you the ability to play with blob placement to get a rougher, more
watery surface. Also, water needs an ior. Oh, btw, how in the world did
this fellow get to the top of that mountain? <grin>

Interesting concept, but this is a difficult subject to render well.
