GREAT! One of these breathtaking pics!

From prizog@hotmail.com:
beautiful image. Question: do you use some sort of spanish version of
POV-Ray,
or just work in the english version? is there any interest in a spanish
version?
I would think that translating it would simply be a matter of making a few small

changes in the generic parser code.

Incredible! The stones, the water, even the choice of color for the
sunlight, this is the most photo-perfect image I've seen ray-traced.
If I were to dig deep for 'constructive criticism', it is that there
really isn't a whole lot happening. That is, the image doesn't seem to
me to have an artistic statement of any kind besides the obvious
technical statement that "it can be done". That isn't going to stop me
from studying your scene file extensively!

From Sean_Hamilton@amrcorp.com:
A simple theme, excellently accomplished. This one is my favorite to win for
the following reasons:
Outstanding rocks, the shape, texture and finish are perfect.
Realistic running water. I'm glad you put out the effort in the water that you
did.
The effect is stunning.
You admit there are errors in the rock placement, yet these are effectively
hidden
by the plants without distracing from the image.
The detail visible beneath the water. I keep scanning it looking at the
different
rocks (and fish).

The only problem I can see are the two rocks on the right side. They appear to

too close together for their shape.

Fantastic photograph!!! :)

From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de:
Now that's close to "photorealistic", very well done!
A small point of critique: the light brightening up the scene from the camera
position is too bright, it looks like a scene in sunlight (From the opposite
direction) but an additional floodlight to brighten up the shados. A technique
common in advertising photography.)

Absolutely my favorite image from this round. Very well done.

From djohnston@iname.com:
I like the way you managed to get a feel for the water flow. I also like how
some fo the rocks glisten, giving the impression that they are wet. Nicely
done.

Another MASTERPIECE Jaime! 20x3 :D

=====
From gmccarter@hotmail.com:
Excellent. You put a lot of effort into getting correct appearance to the
water, and it shows. Great textures (as usual). But the tops of the big rocks
are too shiny -- are they wet? This image is so crisp, even the thumbnail
looks good! The only flaw for me is that the fish are not quite enough of a
focal point, my eye keeps wandering around the scene, looking for something
more interesting.

From Martial@Biosys.net:
I like nice his image; but why the stones is so reflective ?

=====
From ethelm@bigfoot.com:
We think this is the best entry. The water is so realistic that it seems to
move. The rocks look like real water-worn rocks. The grass is just right. The
composition and lighting are very artistic

From chipr@niestu.com:
Excellent coloring and texturing--very photographic.

From r@ppp-106-74.villette.club-internet.fr:
Very good picture but why are the rocks shinning where there is no water ? They
seem very wet and it's a sunny scene, that is first what a saw. Except this
your picture is one of the best, according to me ...

My favorite picture. Not too playful, not too overloaded, just water as we like
it: Fresh, clear, reflecting and very alive.
Notable for composition, textures, modelling, lighting

From r@slater.ed.edu.jonkoping.se:
Is this really raytracing? I thought it was a photo!
Notable for modelling

From r@203.102.40.35:
