Nice ships; your balloons are quite blocky, although a good idea to include
them--gives the Atlanteans an advanced technology without giving them
internal combustion or nuclear power :*) The sky is awesome. The volcano or
lava isn't very convincing, though.

I like reflection of conflagration on water, but don't like "lava" or whatever
that yellow stuff is.

Quite NICE !!!!! on a 486 ...
The new povrays 3.1 version with interior & media features is quite simplier
to use than halo

From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de:
How would the people that fit on these ships live on such a bizarre and steep
mountain?
Everything looks just like a plastic model, and here's why:
The color and position of the light source make it appear like a lamp, rather
than the sun.
The bump map of the see is too smooth of too big scale for the size of the
ships. The water is too reflective and way too bright.
The ships are too shiny and their sails have very clearly visible edges, making
them look like stiff plastic.

"no_shadow" :/

don't have experience with halo or its successor media yet, but do the sh=
adowless commands work with them?

From gmccarter@hotmail.com:
Good effort on an ambitious project.

I suppose the mesh objects didn't have normals available, so that you could
have
used smooth_triangle instead? The facets are a bit too obvious in the final
image :-( .
