Nice juxtaposition of images. Good desert floor.

From Sean_Hamilton@amrcorp.com:
the cracked earth looks great in the distances, but suffers up close. It needs
another layer of dirt or dust on it.

Appropriately simple elements. Cool theme.
Surface of cracked mud isn't photorealistic, but very appropriately ties in with
rest of construction.

From amason@cs.uct.ac.za:

I love this image. The feelings of dryness and water are very convincing.
My only complaint is that the sand looks a bit stylized: but maybe that's
the plan.

From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de:
The individual "tiles" of dried soil seem to be floating above the ground.
"Computer was turned off"? Now that's a strange thing to do to a computer ;)

From johnson@pharmacy.arizona.edu:
nice surrealistic feel.

From jaime@ctav.es:
Great contrast. Nice trick for crackle, and a good lesson of imaginative
texturing. Cedar, you MUST raytrace more often! the only criticism is about
the sand in the distance: needs more turbulence.

I guess I'll have to explore your code to find out about these mud-chunks=
, they look great.

From uwe.post@online.de:
Great - except for the ground. Maybe you can improve it when you have more
time.

From gmccarter@hotmail.com:
I like everything except the "creative pigment mapping" which needs more
grittiness/dirt/randomness.

From ethelm@bigfoot.com:
A most interesting image. Well done.

Nice ground texture.
