From jerry@hoboes.com:
The trees seem more faded than the rest of the image. Otherwise a very
evocative scene.

From gregj56590@aol.com:
Exceptional modelling and texturing. Great tie in to theme.
Very nice "feel."

From amason@cs.uct.ac.za:
excellent image, I like it lots.
mood is great, lighting is good, models nice, water, trees, and landscape
shadows are perhaps a bit hard edged.
sky is great.
a bit more variation in brightness/contrast might make the picture
even more appealing.
hill is the background works really well as focal point and
to create sense of depth of place and depth.

From justin@scpmcs.org:
Very nice. Soothing. I wish it had been bigger (800x600) though.

From vogelap@email.uc.edu:
Pretty, pastorial scene. Nice.

A really nice image, I've never heard before of "Vue d'Esprit", but seen a lot
of entries this round done with it. I think this is basically a landscape
generator, right?

=====
From johnson@pharmacy.arizona.edu:
Very painterly feel. If the description had said this was intentional you would
have gotten higer tech and artistic scores, but from having seen other images
this seems to be a Vue d'Esprit characteristic.

=====
From mmandl@aol.com:
It would have scored higher if it had been a standard size.

From jaime@ctav.es:
VERY nice! Beatiful, calm, peaceful... I've played a bit with contrast &
gamma to set it for my monitor, and then looked even better! Great Work!
I perhaps notice the lack of some vegetation in the banks.

=====
From Varyk@aol.com:
Like a painting, can almost feel the brushstrokes. Dreamy.

=====
From djohnston@iname.com:
Water and clouds look good, but the trees look too lined up. Even if they
were planted in rows, chances are there would be more deviation there.

=====
From gmccarter@hotmail.com:
This looks like a painting, it really does. Very artistic.
But who is fishing? And why so many tiny white dots througout the image?

=====
From ulf.schreiber@gmx.net:
Arent't here far too many pontons in this scene?

The landscape in the background seems too deep below the canal, for the
canal to convince as such. Although there are a lot of canals that are
sometimes on bridges over a valley, this seems to be on an
alone-standing mountain.

Nice summer / spring lighting, I think this is what you created the
image for and it is grat in this aspect.

From ethelm@bigfoot.com:
A very peaceful and nice image.
Like you have painted it with water colours.
