Original concept. Nice use of pastels.

you used Bryce for this? wow. I wouldn't.
Even with your explanation I found it hard to relate to the theme.
I like the effectiveness with which you duplicated the feel of SimCity.
At the same time though, Maxis already did that.

Please look at your copy of Pov-ray, you will grow to love it with just a little

perseverance and patience. 20 hrs to save a file!! - bin Bryce.

From bobfranke@halcyon.com:
Not really the usual Bryce image, but pretty good for just out of the box in
only ten days. You may be right, Bryce images should be scenic with less
modeling.

Silly -- but well done!
The green plain needs a bit more contouring -- it looks too flat, like water.

From djconnel@flash.net:
I agree -- this scene could have been done much more compactly
and effectively in POV-Ray.

It's a nice idea, but it needs more texturing and more creative use
of lighting.

Nice idea. I like the Mendeleiev-table-shaped plant!
The sodium plant explosion (1st in 3rd row if I remember well) is a bit too weak
to be noticeable.
And the overall atmosphere looks somewhat strange.

Weird and interesting idea. Laying out the "city" like the periodic table is a
nice touch. Much too foggy. Textures too simplistic, even given the desired
computer game feel. AFAIK, piecing your image together because of computer
limitations is ok. Overall, I like it. This comment by clem@dhol.com.
