Simplicity rules. Good feeling of light and a sensation of relaxation. The
footsteps are great and the sand color is excellent. Unfortenately the height
field dynamics is not big enough to give smooth slopes. The image works well
with a black border.

love the foot prints.
but, the sand looks too dry near the water, it is rather confusing.
at first i thought the sand was dropping down into a ravine where the
water was.
also, use smooth on the heightfield to remove the abrupt level changes.

Fantastic pic!  I love how simple it is, yet how much it tells.  The
footprints were a stroke of genius!  The water looks spectacular as
well.  It almost makes me homesick (I grew up on the coast)!

Nice use of footprints!

However, strata from the height field are clearly visible.
You need to use smoothing (interpolation) to get rid of
that, and use hf16 (16-bit) to increase resolution.

Still, this one has a lot of potential, and with a little
refinement could be a really impressive work.

Bright, funny, realistic, precise, subtle.  Totally realistic sand in texture
and contour (except for the visible "ridges" in the foreground).  Excellent
footprints, but the sequence from "standing" to "walking away" is incorrect.
Is the visible sand dry or wet?  If dry, it needs distinct wet area at water's
edge.  Or if wet, the water needs more froth/waves/bubbles.
