I really like the icebergs in this scene. You do a great job of blending the
mountains, snow, ice, and clouds. The only thing about this scene is it seems
to feel a little empty.

Good natural feeling. Could almost be mistaken for a real scene. If only flight
simulators could render this kind of scenes 25 times/second.

One of the best POV-ray mountains I've ever seen!
A bit confused by the breaking ice below, thought.

From d97ta@efd.lth.se:
looks freezing! well done.
the mountains look a bit too brown, but what do i know?
the cloud plane looks fine in the foreground, but the far
away clouds look a bit too flat.
the border between water/ice floes and mountain is a bit sharp, methinks.
at first i thought the mountains were much higher than they are, and getting
the water to fit with that altitude strained my brain into overdrive... :)

i live in a cool climate (NE USA) and i think you did a wonderful job!

From ulf.schreiber@gmx.net:
One needs to view it two times to realize its qualities.

From buck@cs.byu.edu:
I really like the layer of clouds below the camera, and the ice-flows.
They look really good. The mountains look pretty discretized--perhaps
the stone part of the mountain could use more detail?

I am glad you got your entry in! It is not a disappointment --
this is a stunning entry.

POVTM has height field routines which will make some
of this easier. Nevertheless, you have pulled off a masterful
result -- this is one of the best renderings I have seen of
terrains (it blows away anything I have done). The ice
flows are a wonderful touch to a wonderfully
executed terrain.

Isn't Nevada a desert? - perhaps it menas snow in Spanish (a joke?)

Excellent. Looks like a photo from National Geographic!

One of the most original landscapes. BTW, did you heard of "TMPov", an
extended
version wich has a "slope" pattern and height_field_at functions ?

After I turned down the brightness of my monitor (and put my sunglasses on), I
saw the image! Reminds me of what I saw once, while on a flight over
Greenland.
The scope/scale of the scene is awesome. The broken patches of ice are
particularly well-done. Excellent technique on the snow caps. Impressive,
fine effort. Ironic title.
