From beliaev@utu.fi:
"The image of Claire and her reflection were added in photoshop." - that's
illegal according to IRTC rules.
Please next read the rules carefully.

=====
From wozzeck@club-internet.fr:
Tss tss... you use of Photoshop to include the picture puts you out of the IRTC
rules. You could have
included it with a mapping on a heightfield (for example). Otherwise your
picture is nice, even if the
floor suffers from the "swimming pool complex": too shiny.

From jaime@ctav.es:
Well, the lack of the IMAGE DESCRIPTION item makes hard to see the theme
conection. A child illegally pasted in the image don't makes it more "chilhood"
related, IMHO. Sorry, but this seems as if you already have a raytrace and when
knowed the topic "childhood" decided to paste in a child cutted from a photo.
Really poor, both artistically and technically. And best to not talk about
originality/concept...
And, finally, the most important : the child "paste" can be done very quickly
within POVRay, using the same file you cutted, but mapping onto a box or
similar
and placing them according with the light from both pics. This way, all the
final pixels are raytraced and the image becomes legal. It's so easy!
P.S.:Excuse this hard comment, but, well, if you read the rules someday perhaps
you can understand me. <grin>

From eallen@highway1.com:
the use of image maps for major parts of your image (no matter how well done),
detract from the spirit the competition

=====
From bobfranke@halcyon.com:
The outside image works great. The floor seems too shinny, I found the image
very confusing. Now for the bad news. The image is post-processed and only
gets a one for the technical score. Claire could have been easily added as an
image map.

=====
From arcana@sinbad.net:
Addition of an image after rendering is, by my interpretation of the rules,
a violation of the post processing rules. Beyond that, the image is a nice
one, but does not take advantage of the ray tracing medium very much. The
outer scene and the figure of the girl could have been produced with the
renderer itself (using height fields, csg's, etc..) rather than resorting
to image maps.

=====
From ethelm@bigfoot.com:
Floor too reflective. Does not fit rules as not final
ray traced.

=====
From bill.marrs@pureatria.com:
The image of the child is nice, but a violation of the rules.

=====
From msfl.bf@fasonet.bf:
Unfortunately, I cannot rate this image, as the adding of Claire in Photoshop
goes against the rules of the competition. Nevertheless a nicely made image.

=====
From r@ww-td04.proxy.aol.com>:
It appears you used a lot of post-processing (among other things)

=====
From r@regulus.its.uu.se>:
Looks nice, but is a bit simple. Why did you have to cheat? It could have been
all done in the renderer.
