Good concept. Thr landscape could have used a little more work though, the
moutnains look like they're miniatures,
i.e, about 50 feet away and maybe 15-20 feet tall.

From kazemir@pde.com:
I like the idea.

From jaime@ctav.es:
Very Nice, but triangles are too visibles.

It took me a few moments to realize what's happening here.
Then I laughed and laughed! A stylish, minimalist image. Bravo.

Interesting point: one doesn't need to reed your text to understand the story:
good point!
Except this, your lighting is fine, but the ground is a little "simple", and the
mountains seem to be very close to the camera.

From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de:
Nice one. The mountains appear to be very small, though, only about 3m high.

=====
From i_emackay@mountains.net.au:
Not bad but the perspective is all wrong. Makes the easle look 100 feet tall.
Good concept.

From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se:
+ It's a good idea, and the UFO in the painting looks good.
- It looks as if the mountains and the easel are almost the same size. It looks
like if they are pretty close together.

Nice image. :{)
The touch of the circular patch off to the right (to match up with the beam of
the alien ship in the painting) was a nice touch. I would have shifted the
easel
a touch so we could see the third leg. As it stands, it's totally hidden by the
left foreground leg. :{)

From msfl.bf@fasonet.bf:
LOL!

The first mountain (to the left) seems to close, compared to the size of the
canvas.

From bobfranke@halcyon.com:
You might try adding a little fog to set the mountains into the distance. I
like
the moss ground cover.

I liked the reason for the UFO; and I liked the art equipment.

Haha! Great sense of humor, love it! Really funny! I don't know Polyray, but the
mountains appear very blocky.. Does it also work with a heightfield-image like
POV-Ray? If so, I think you should have enlarged the image (to at least twice
the size), blurred it once or twice and given it some soft noise, to create
smoother mountains (it would take longer, but as your render time is under 1.5
hours I think this would have been possible). If it doesn't work with a
heightfield-map, well, maybe this was some good advice for fellow-POV-ray'ers
then..:) I think you should have moved the camera just a tiny bit, as two legs
of the easel are exactly behind eachother now... How about some accent in the
background (house, woods, etc)?

At least the artist got to finish his picture!
