Very nice! If you hadn't said in the text file that the banding on the arch
was an unwanted artifact, I'd have throught is was intentiional textureing; it
looks great.

The Maxfield Parrish piece was what made it for me.

A visual pun! I like it. Fun interpretation of the theme.

From kazemir@pde.com:
Great idea! I like the harp, but I agree with you on the bands you can still
see. I would like to see some texture and colour on the walls, the smooth
stark white wall seems to stand out. Perhaps add a beige-ish stucco-ish
surface might help to warm it up.

Hmmm... strange idea.
What name can give to? Chromicembal? Harpsichrome? Clavichrom? :)

From gmccarter@hotmail.com:
The scene is much too brightly lit. The wall at the window must be paper thin.
Beautiful and clever modelling on the harp, with perfect textures. Very nice
overall. Original concept.

From wozzeck@club-internet.fr:
Good idea and interesting notes. If you had time to improve your textures, it
would have been great!
Concerning chords, remember the Berg used a full 12-tone chord to illustrate
Lulu's death in his opera!

From MMandl@aol.com:
Artistically it was missing. Nice concept though

From dick@buckosoft.com:
Actually, i have an upright grand piano built similarly to this (except that
the strings are completely encased in the soundbox)

=====
From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de:
The lighting is very unnatural. Just one bright white point light.
That's not what rooms are lit like. Use more slightly yellowish
lights and position them lower and closer to the objects.

From i_emackay@mountains.net.au:
Too stark. Experiment with lighting and wall texture.

From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se:
Great idea. I like the strings a lot. Maybe it
would have been more intereseting with something more on the walls though. Just
a thought.

This is a wonderful image. :{)
A few ideas to improve it (hrmmm):
1) The end-piece that the string formation connects to is too plain and light
colored,
compared to the rest of the piano. It just doesn't seem to fit in with it as it
is
right now.
2) Something about the wood patterning on the right-hand wall and the window
frame,
feels off. I'm not sure how to describe it. Maybe it's my veiwer. I'm looking
at
the image in 800X600 display, high color, in Adobe Photoshop.
3) The plain white walls are just a bit too plain for me. My wife disagrees with
me
though. <grin> She feels it's the perfect compliment to the keys on the
keyboard.
Anyhow, wonderful image. :{)

Very original idea - great text file, too!

From bobfranke@halcyon.com:
I love the design of the piano. However, the other objects need more attention
to
detail. Also, the room appears to have no ceiling.

From web_user@flex058.dijkgraaf.wau.nl:
I'm looking at your image with mixed feelings. The 'harp' om the piano looks
great, very well modelled (pity about that banding) - which makes the contrast
to the other objects pretty big- the marble table, the piano chair and the
window-frame look very basic, which is a shame as it takes the beauty of the
scene away. Also, the textures in your scene don't combine well (says my
feeling), they make your objects look like individual elements instead of part
of the same room.. many textures are 'too perfect'. I like the perspective in
the scene though, together with your great coice of shape for the harp.

Very clever idea. The color effect you wanted sounds interesting. Keep trying
for it?
