An excellent choice of topic, and well done as far as it went. I understand
that just to get this far probably took an enormous amount of time, but I
can't help felling the scene to either side of the couple looks empty. A
nice touch would be a worktable with some sculpter's tools, perhaps some
chips of stone lying on the workshop floor.

Good positioning and texturing on the figures.  A magical moment indeed.  Two
problems with the statue--her right arm looks very flat at the top (maybe it's
just a shadow), and her right butt cheek comes to a point.  Now, I've known
some girls who really were shaped that way, but none of them had jobs as
models. <grin>  Nice concept, good execution.
