I especially like the tattered paper edges, and the glowing gems.
The text definitely seems to have been written by Atrus. This scene
hangs together nicely, although something seems un-myst-like to me:
perhaps it's the lack of ornate detail on the box.

Pretty image, good balance between simplicity and detail.  The glowing
