It is beautiful object. However, it needs to be set as a scene.
So I gave low artistic merit and higher tech merit.

From lg@pixar.com:
After the first two shells, they started getting awfully repetitious.

Next time, concentrate on making one really spectacular image, rather
than several minor variations on a theme.

Remember, the judges have to spend time downloading and viewing the images.
Try to use our time wisely!

Not quite as nice as the last one.

From lowellr@globaldialog.com:
This is my favorite out of the four almost duplicate pictures you
submitted. Perhaps if you had submitted 1 version better developed
as a picture instead of a serias of lecture object you might have
rated a lot higher

Another Shell?

From bill.marrs@pureatria.com:
should have picked 1 of the 4

From ingo@ibm.net:
Hello!

Please think about entering only _one_ picture next time.
I've seen your four entries, they're quite similar, but really not bad - so it's
your choice to select the best not the jury's one.

Bye,
  Ingo

I like the mesh much better.

4 virtually identical renderings gets tiresome
