Very cool!

From agage@mines.edu:
Some motion blur on the wasp wings would be cool, though I know that adding
motion blur and keeping the image legal for the IRTC can be difficult.

From wozzeck@club-internet.fr:
A good and original use of Julia fractals! A bit sorry you could not integrate
your
hexagonal combs better.

The nest looks 2-d...

From sonya_roberts@geocities.com:
This is one of those few images that I liked enough to give a 20-20-20 to, even
though
I might have a few quibbles about some small aspects of it...like the wasp nest
is not
being attached to anything, but instead is just floating in space. Is it
supposed to
be falling??? And that pink lighting is a touch distracting, though I can see
that without
it your picture would be near-monotone. Still, a very striking and
well-constructed image
overall.

From gmccarter@hotmail.com:
Excellent modelling, colors, and composition (except for the car,
which is slightly distracting -- it draws the eye out of the scene,
away from the nest). The wasps seem vivid, but the rest of the objects
seem to be too monochromatic.

From alex@astro.queensu.ca:
great use of a julia fractal!

From warwick@troll.no:
Lightness of wasps and nest seem too different.
ie. why does wasp have black on it, when shadows in nest are so gray?

=====
From marvil@algonet.se:
This image really has artistic and technical qualities. The nest is nicely
modelled and there's interesting red light on it. The wasps are superbly
modelled.
Good background as well.

=====
From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de:
The background is a bit boring and seems to be lit from another angle
than the foreground. Envertheless I like the concept a lot.
