Simple but effective. Looks like a painting. There's no sense of motion,
though.
At first, I came to think of Wilhelm Tell. A bit of motion blur would help.
It should be possible to do with a lot of semi-transparent apples in a row.

too coarse, leaving visible edges in the contour.
