Try dong more sample with the focal blur to get rid of the "grainy" effect. 
The
blur can be smoothed quite a bit if you can stand a longer render time.  Also, 
the dithering (or lack thereof) really detracts form the image as there is some

serious banding on the walls and proffessor's clothing.
