Management Issues 6.1 Advising IANA to release IPv4 option IPv4 option 1-0-22 (Bill Fenner) The management issue was discussed. The IESG decided to initiate a four-week Last Call for this issue. 6.2 Transport Area reorganization/split (Allison Mankin) The management issue was discussed. The IESG approved development of an Area Description for a Real Time Applications and Infrastructure Area, by the Transport and Applications ADs and the WG Chairs involved, for discussion with the community. 6.3 Obsoleting RFC 1871 and 1818 (Brian Carpenter) The management issue was discussed. The IESG agreed that RFC 2026 obsoletes RFC 1871 and RFC 1818. Action item: Brian Carpenter will create an RFC Editor message regarding obsoleting RFC 1871 and RFC 1818. The Secretariat will send the message to the RFC Editor with copies to the IAB and IETF Announce list. 6.4 Candidate Documents for Early Copy Editing by the RFC Editor (Bert Wijnen) The management issue was discussed. 6.5 Recording Secretary Decision (Brian Carpenter) The management issue was discussed. The IESG chose two scribes from the pool of six volunteers, and will make the announcement after the individuals have been notified. 6.6 IESG Liaison to the NomCom (Brian Carpenter) The management issue was discussed. The IESG chose Russ Housley to be the new IESG Liaison to the NomCom. 7.
