Short: Czech dictionary for AlphaSpell Author: Pavel Bures and Fergus Duniho Uploader: duniho bitsmart com Type: text/misc Version: 1.0 Requires: text/edit/ASpell.lha Architecture: generic Date: 26 October 1997 DESCRIPTION This is a Czech dictionary for use with AlphaSpell, an Amiga spelling checker that supports many languages and offers many features. Check out it's web page at: http://www.bitsmart.com/duniho/aspell.html This dictionary was provided to me by Pavel Bures, and AlphaSpell compressed at better than a 70% compression ratio. IMPORTANT DETAILS This is the first AlphaSpell dictionary that does not conform to the ISO Latin-1 character set. ISO Latin-1 does not support Czech's entire character set, but ISO Latin-2 does. This dictionary conforms to a character set that differs from ISO Latin-2 by 6 characters. Here is what Pavel Bures told me: Czech localization is nearly ISO-Latin 2 (like MS Windows CP 1250) there is only difference in 3 lowercase and the same 3 uppercase characters. Standard Amiga ISOL1 ISO-Latin 2 Czech Locale B9 ¹ B9 (s with caron) -> E0 BB » BB (t with caron) -> E5 BE ¾ BE (z with caron) -> EE A9 © A9 (S with caron) -> C0 AB « AB (T with caron) -> C5 AE ® AE (Z with caron) -> CE INSTALLATION If AlphaSpell is already installed, just type: lha -ma x Czech.lha AlphaSpell: If you do that, you won't need to use the included Installer script.
