Short: Techno musics by RIB (v1.1) Author: npomarede@paris.kapt.com (Nicolas Pomarede) Uploader: http://skolman-mws w interia pl Type: mods/techn Replaces: mods/misc/SuperStardust.lha Architecture: generic These are all the musics from the game 'Super Stardust' by BloodHouse / Team 17 in 1994, composed by RIB and converted in November 1998. Musics include an S3M module (12 channels) as well as many tunes packed with 'The Player'. Since all samples were common to all the tunes, they were merged in two single big files and were nearly all delta packed. Conversion was a little tedious, because I had to depack/save each sample, convert all tunes back to Protracker, load each sample and save the result as a song (instead of a complete module) ; but this way, you have all the songs in a little more than 370 Kb when packing everything. Conversion clearly required some bit of asm coding, so I guess that's why it wasn't done before using conventional ripping programs. Note that everything was ripped/depacked directly from the disks to ensure all musics are as perfect as possible (no memory rip, since Super Stardust doesn't work on my A500 ;-) ) Also thanks to Martin Jeppesen for providing the data and naming correctly each tune. Enough now, enjoy those really very good techno tunes by RIB. Interested in Custom/non-PT hard to convert musics ? Contact me !! Also check the others Custom/Hippel musics I put on Aminet.
