Short: Powerful picture catalogger (v3.3). Many features ! Author: fcalendini@aix.pacwan.net Uploader: fcalendini aix pacwan net Type: gfx/misc Version: 3.3 Architecture: m68k-amigaos This program allows to create indexes of reduced pictures. It offers many possibilities and has some features that other programs of this type have not... And it's totally free ! * Features : - Fast (optimised for 68020+ processors). - Compact. - Doesn't use MUI, BGUI, Triton, ClassAct or any other GUI interface. Only system's Gadtools.library, which seems really sufficient (and much more memory saving)... - Allows creation of 16 or 256 grayscale, or 256 colors thumbnails, with high image quality. - 68000 CPU and ECS modes supported. - Supports XPK compression. - Respects totally the AMIGA system. - Customizable. - Handles multi-volumes indexes. - Capability to update indexes very easily (all is automatic). - Very powerful system of actions associated to each picture format. - Can also rename/move/delete pictures on disk. - Very flexible thanks to the use of datatypes (you can even catalog your fonts with the font.datatype, for example !) - Can export the indexes into IFF files. - Free ! * Requirements : An Amiga with OS 3.x, fast RAM recommended. This program is CREATION-WARE (see doc for details)... * Changes from version 3.2 : - Now Collector checks for windows opened by other programs on its public screen, before changing its display mode. Without this check, a crash was generally occuring (thanks to Nils Goers !). - Now you can have the doc displayed on the screen and still use Collector normally. - Added the "Set comment" function. - Now the thumbnails are unselected by the "AutoUnselect" setting only if these thumbnails were actually processed. - Improved the pictures layout in the IFF panels. Now the thumbnails use the optimal space on the panels, and some names overlaying problems have been removed. - Fixed a bug in the IFF panels saving routine, that was generating corrupt pictures when specifying large dimensions (thanks to Alan Novak !). - Fixed a bug when using djpeg : djpeg, since it does "on the fly" scaling, was reporting smaller dimensions than the actual pictures width and height. So now, when djpeg is used, the jpeg file header is checked directly to get the right pictures dimensions. If you have some indexes that contain erroneous data, just load them, select all the faulty thumbnails, and choose the "Update Info" function. All the pictures dimensions will be corrected. - Fixed a bug in the "Update index files" function : when entering a file pattern in the file selector, the wrong directory was scanned. - Now the default directory used for the "Change Directory" function is saved in the preferences file. - The "Minimize requester" option now discards a few more requesters. - Added the "All" option to some requesters, to automatize overwriting existing files. - Added the "Toggle selection" function. - Some other minor improvements and bug fixes. Have fun ! :-)
