Hello Amigoids all over the world! I have an A1200, and recently I had some problems with the keyboard, caused by a misleading of the flat cable and the connector on the PCB (possibly originated because of the 3.5" HD mounted inside, that forces cable to loop around the [quite hot] harddisk). Anyway before I found the real problem, I tried to map the keyboard matrix, so now I post it here, hoping it could be useful to hack it. The following map is organized in this way: on the upper row, you find the key, and on the lower row the pins connected pressing that key. The pin numbering is referred to the connector as you see it with the keyboard in front of you, as I reported on the following schema (if you ever opened the A1200 you should understand what I mean... I hope!) BTW: my keyboard is a Mitsumi CM-2 / A1200-A 56C774A 2.0 CM / 92-11 and is an italian kbd, so if you don't find a key, look for the key in the same place (that's the why I drew this map!) 1 |||||||| 31 . . . . | | left side of the keyboard... --------+ +------------------------------------------------------- 7-15 7-17 7-18 7-19 7-20 7-21 7-23 7-25 7-26 7-27 7-28 ` 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 ' ì \ 5-15 5-16 5-17 5-18 5-19 5-20 5-21 5-22 5-23 5-24 5-25 5-26 5-27 5-28 3-28 q w e r t y u i o p è + 1-15 1-16 1-17 1-18 1-19 1-20 1-21 1-22 1-23 1-24 1-25 1-26 1-27 a s d f g h j k l ò à ù 11-30 ^ 2-16 2-17 2-18 2-19 2-20 2-21 2-22 2-23 2-24 2-25 2-26 2-27 1-28 2-15 caps lock / 9-31 led power < z x c v b n m , . - 12-30 3-15 3-16 3-17 3-18 3-19 3-20 3-21 3-22 3-23 3-24 3-25 ^ 6-30 dead key 13-26 13-30 14-30 3-27 10-30 8-30 +----------------------------------------------------------------------- ...and the right side of the keyboard ------------------------------------------------------- 2-28 7-29 7-16 7-22 7-24 4-15 4-25 4-21 4-17 4-29 5-29 4-26 4-22 4-18 4-16 1-29 3-29 2-29 4-27 4-23 4-19 4-28 4.20 4-24 ------------------------------------------------------- After I stated the usual disclaimer procedure (I'm sure about what I say, but I'm not responsible for burned machines, it's only your fault you didn't checked my schema once again), feel free to e-mail me for any reason to: kirov@gopher.cised.unina.it -- Massimo
